The EILC chats will regularly start from Saturday June 3rd 2000,
each saturday from 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm (italian time)
and each friday from 6.30 to 7.30 pm (italian time).

A new service for EILC Members: The Mailing list.
It was started a new mailing list service for EILC Members.
Using the functions of the "Egroups"network, http://www.egroups.com, it was done a una mailing list with this email address lionseuropa@egroups.com, where to send messages to the intere group.
There is moreover a special area at http://www.egroups.com/group/lionseuropa, where you can use the all the network features as a database, where you could fill your informations, a calendar of events, a links page, where to publish your website addresses and others.
That area is for Members only.
If you want to visit it, you must before register yourself in the main page, using the approriate link in the right side.
If you don't want to receive e-mail messages about the "Egroups" services, please remember to uncheck the appropriate box in the Registration Form.

EILC at the International Convention.
EILC was present at the International Convention in the Internet Booth organized from the Internet Club Lions On Line and LionNet, where there was a CIRCLE delegatin too.

I Soci Fondatori invitati avvieranno il progetto riflettendo insieme sui seguenti punti

Statuto e Regolamento. Esistono già alcuni Club Internet Lions. Lo Statuto e il Regolamento verranno modellati sulle esperienze maturate dai Clubs già attivi. Una bozza verrà inviata ai Soci Fondatori.

Regole per l’affiliazione. Tutti i Soci Lions regolarmente iscritti ad un Club dell’Area Europea che abbiano una connessione Internet, un indirizzo di posta elettronica e siano disponibili a svolgere la loro attività di servizio anche con l’uso di questo nuovo sistema di comunicazione. Tutti gli Internet District Officers europei. Tutti i LionNet Nodemaster europei. Il nuovo socio deve essere invitato da un Socio già attivo nel Club almeno dopo 6 mesi dalla sua nomina, esclusi i Soci Fondatori. La partecipazione al Club è vincolata alla frequentazione di almeno una chat mensile, salvo impedimento segnalato. Potranno essere invitati tra i Soci anche non Lions, come affiliati, purché svolgano una attività lionistica in Internet; questi soci non potranno avere incarichi nel Consiglio Direttivo finché non saranno divenuti Lions ma potranno svolgere incarichi di natura tecnica come webmaster o chatmaster. Ogni anno, in occasione dei Forum, il presidente di turno verrà eletto Socio Onorario.

Fondazione del Club. Il Club verrà fondato durante il Pre-Forum Europeo di Firenze. In quella sede si riuniranno i Soci Fondatori per il primo meeting virtuale e in persona. Durante il primo meeting verrà approvato lo Statuto, le regole per l’affiliazione, il nome del Club e del Sito Internet ad esso collegato, gli orari e le date delle chat mensili e il programma da utilizzare per le comunicazioni, l’organizzazione di una mailing list e gli scopi che si prefigge il Club Internet. Oltre a questo verrà eletto il primo Consiglio Direttivo e valutata una tassa di iscrizione.

Consiglio Direttivo. Sarà formato inizialmente da 6 membri: un Presidente, un Vice Presidente, un Segretario, un Tesoriere, un Cerimoniere e un Consigliere. Oltre a questi saranno eletti un webmaster del Sito e un moderatore (chat master) per l’organizzazione degli incontri virtuali. Il chat master potrà anche essere il Cerimoniere. Il primo Consiglio Direttivo dovrà essere formato da membri di paesi diversi. In seguito alla crescita del Club il Consiglio Direttivo potrà essere allargato fino ad avere 1 membro per ciascun paese europeo.

Incontri Virtuali e in persona. Sono previsti due meetings virtuali al mese, in data e tempi da decidere. Oltre ai Meetings virtuali si prevede almeno un meeting annuale in persona in occasione dei Fora Europei. Le chat saranno organizzate in una lingua comune, che, per definizione dovrebbe essere l’inglese. Oltre alle chat internazionali mensili, con la crescita del Club e l’iscrizione di più Membri della stessa Nazione, potrà essere organizzata anche almeno una chat mensile per paese e nella lingua originale di ciascuno, purché sia sempre garantito un efficace servizio di traduzioni per gli eventuali ospiti/Soci di altri paesi, nella lingua comune.

Sistema di Comunicazione. Uno dei sistemi di comunicazione previsti è il programma ICQ Lions dedicato. Si potrà poi prevedere l’attivazione di una apposita "room" in un server irc, così da offrire un ampio raggio di programmi utilizzabili. Oltre a questo sarà possibile utilizzare una chat java, irc compatibile, inserita all’interno del Sito del Club (così come accade per esempio per la chat del LOL).

Obiettivi. Offrire ai Lions Europei uno strumento per allargare il proprio panorama di conoscenze lionistiche, sia nei progetti che nell'amicizia. Realizzare uno spazio dove poter organizzare una Rete di comunicazione efficace tra i Lions Europei, attraverso la formula delle "chat" ma anche con una mailing list e con un database delle e-mails dei Lions Europei in Internet. Coinvolgere gli Internet Officers di ciascun paese, così come i LionNet Nodemasters, per costituire un gruppo operativo capace di organizzare i contatti internazionali in ciascuna nazione, Distretto Multiplo, Distretto, fino ai Clubs. Promuovere le attività dei Lions Europei in Internet affiancando LionNet nella pubblicazione di progetti Nazionali e Internazionali. Avviare attività di Servizio attraverso lo Strumento Internet realizzando Services transnazionali o supportando progetti Nazionali.

Tra gli obiettivi da raggiungere è previsto il riconoscimento ufficiale da parte della Sede Centrale. A questo obiettivo sta lavorando, congiuntamente agli ID americani, anche il LOL. Il Lions on Line Internet Club potrà effettuare un gemellaggio con il Club Internet Europeo.
