I HAVE A DREAM. One day this community will rise and live the real meaning of believing. The reality of all people being created equal. Peace at home, Peace in the World. I HAVE A DREAM. One day our children shall live in a world without frontiers, where they shall be judged for their characters. Yes, I am a dreamer; I want a world where our children will not have forgotten how to smile, where children can still be taught the taste of eating candies. I want April 23rds, just like in my own country... April 23rds where children of this world can discuss, share their future; life and learn their cultures; I want April 23rds where all children of this world may censor their future. I want a day for the children just like you... |

un anno fa, il nostro Socio EILC, Lion Alessandro Meroli, dall'Italia,
presentò l'idea per un progetto straordinario. Sponsorizzare una gara sportiva, una Maratona, in Italia - Toscana, nel mese di Settembre. La Maratona, inizialmente Nazionale, avrebbe coinvolto un gran numero di persone in un grande evento sportivo con lo scopo di sostenere i principi della nostra Associazione e di raccogliere fondi per i nostri Scopi, riunendo moltissime persone in una giornata di Sport e Amicizia. L'idea venne discussa nelle nostre riunioni "virtuali" in Internet e molti Soci, di ogni Paese, concordarono che sarebbe stato interessante unire a questo progetto una attività di EILC. Così nacque il progetto "Knock the Door". Il sogno di Semra Avdici, una delle nostre Socie dalla Turchia, di realizzare una raccolta di fondi da destinare a un progetto speciale per i bambini del Mondo, il sogno di tutti noi di far sentire al Mondo quanto sia importante offrire ai bambini un futuro migliore, non solo nelle condizioni economiche ma anche nelle intenzioni, è diventato una realtà. Con l'aiuto di amici volonterosi abbiamo realizzato una T-shirt, che vedete nelle immagini sottostanti, con un logo e un disegno che ci ricordano quanto può essere bello un Mondo fatto per i bambini. La T-shirt è stata disegnata in Italia e realizzata in Turchia ed è già un esempio di cooperazione internazionale tra i Lions. Verrà prodotta in 500 esemplari che verranno venduti durante la Maratona, che avrà anche una gara "corta", dedicata ai bambini e intitolata a questo progetto. La T-shirt potrà poi essere acquistata da Lions di ogni paese, semplicemente contattandoci alla nostra e-mail, info@lionseuropa.net, per sostenere il progetto. Alla fine della raccolta di fondi il denaro ricavato verrà destinato ad un progetto per la gioventù, tra i molti che la nostra Associazione promuove ogni anno, oppure per un progetto specifico per la gioventù che chiunque, Socio EILC o meno, potrà presentare a questo "Gruppo" di Lions in Internet. one year ago, our EILC Member, Lion Alessandro Meroli, from Italy,
presented the idea for an extraordinary project. To Sponsor a sport competition, a Marathon, in Tuscany, Italy, in the month of September. The Marathon in the first years, will be a National Competition, involving a large number of people in a great sport event, substaining our Association principles and raising funds for our purposes, joining lot od people in a special day of Sport and Friendship. The idea was discussed during our "virtual" Meetings in the Internet and the Members of every Country, thought that it could be very interesting to join an EILC activity to this project. So, the project "Knok the Door" was born. The Semra Avdici, one of our Turkish Members, dream, to collect moneys to realize a special project for the Children of the World, our dream to send a message, speaking how is important to offer to the children a better World and future, not only about the economical conditions but also for the intentions, become a reality. With the help of lot of friends we have realized a T-Shirt, that you can see in the images below, with a logo and a draw that remember us how is wonderful a Children's World. The T-shirt was drawn in Italy and realized in Turkyie, and this is already a great example of International Co-operation between Lions. It will be produced in 500 pieces that will be sold during the Marathon days, where will be also a "short" race for children that is named the "Knock the Door" Trophy. The T-Shirt could be sold also from the Lions of every country, simply contactacting us by email, info@lionseuropa.net, to join and substain the project. At the end of the fund raising, the moneys will be used for a Youth Project, choosing between the ones that our Associaton start every Year, or, they could be used for a specific Young Activity Project that could be presented to this "Group of Lions in the Internet" from everyone, Member or not.
